celesteboldlygoes replied to your post: Interviews make me nervous. Wish me luck.

How did it go?

It’s always hard for me to tell, but I think it was okay. She had me send her a copywriting sample afterward. I think I’ll know by next week if I made into the next round of interviews.

I get a little freaked out at the idea of working full-time again. Like, I want to, but it’s also a little scary to think of being outside the house again so much. Home is my safe place.

scottfriday replied to your post: Yay, got a callback on the job I applied for this week!

i don’t suppose this is the job near DC you had talked about before.

No, I’ve stopped looking. :(  I’ll be continuing to live in the deep south for a while longer, I’m afraid.

alicia, come get your girl.

I know, I know. But the boyfriend just got a new job, and we signed a year-long lease in April. I don’t think another move is in the cards in the immediate future. But visiting is!

serieusement replied to your post: What did you do this weekend?

1. If I haven’t told you enough, you are the best friend ever. 2. What you failed to tell your followers is that that pile of papers is only about half the size of the original stack. 3. I had another 50 essays turned in today. Fun times.

Poor Lyndsey. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help.

serieusement replied to your post: I have a lot of weddings to attend this year.

Just so you know, if I ever find someone and get married, you wouldn’t be a second-choice member of my wedding party. (And should I feel slighted that I evidently didn’t make the back-up/reject bridesmaid list?)

Thank you, dear. (And no, I wouldn’t. I mean, really, would you WANT to have made the list? Speaking of, want to drive up there with me next month and help me save my sanity? Or what’s left of it?)

thank god i was worried.

I’m going to pretend that was sincere and say thank you.

jtgc replied to your post: I’m still alive, just trying to get everything unpacked.

Yeah, me too… the still alive part. Oh yeah, and the unpacking part too…

You haven’t finished unpacking? You’ve been there for months! Slacker.

serieusement replied to your post: I’m still alive, just trying to get everything unpacked.

Hope you’re all getting settled in :) I’m glad you survived the move.

Thanks! We’re almost done, I think. You’ll have to come over and see it when you have a chance.

Is that a Pacman tattoo? And does Zoe know that you’re letting some dog get its dog fur and dog smell all over her blanket?

Yes, it is. That’s not even the stupidest one. Don’t get me started. And don’t worry, the blanket’s getting washed when we move. The cats are doing surprisingly well with Sadie around. They’re leaving each other alone.

I’m a good guesser but a TERRIBLE drawer. Oy.

Cathy liiiies is being modest. She’s awesome at both. On the other hand, I just like drawing pictures that make fun of celebrities.

Oh, I think Chris would beg to differ. Some of my drawings for him have been ROUGH.

Is that a cocker spaniel? That’s how mine sleeps.

It is. It’s his parents’ dog, but he/we’re staying with them while we look for an apartment. She hangs out with us after his parents go to bed.

i miss cohabitating. for some reason, it’s easier. someone to share the load a bit.

That’s what I’m looking forward to. I’ve been on my own quite long enough, I think.

petrichloroform replied to your post: Going through job listings and just found one for a Microsoft Office Specialist.

Yep, they teach classes around town just for people to learn the Office suite. Surprisingly valuable skill.

It didn’t specify how many hours they were offering, or if it was just a contract job. I like to think it’s a full-time position, simply because it amuses me.
